Recently, I received a set of the Fun Factory Smartballs Teneo Duo from the kind folks at Fascinations. ((Who doesn’t want their vagina to be tight like a tiger and also have better orgasms? Except people without a vagina. Uh yeah. I do!)) I received my set in black and white, and I was uber pleased because I’m personally over vibrant pink and purple.1 But that’s enough about color, because I’m really here to talk about Kegels and vag balls.

Kegel exercise will not only aid by heightening sensation for orgasm, but they will also help a mother to be before and after giving birth. As well as with urinary incontinence.2 Be sure to measure you vaginal canal, and the vaginal balls before you purchase. Also note the girth of the toy. These balls are approx 4″ long and 4″ around. With approx 1/2″ in between. They’re on the larger end of the spectrum. I like these vag balls, but I really wish they were a bit shorter. Being that kegal exercise is vital to women of all ages, I’d love to recommend these vag balls to everyone, but I’m limited to saying that if you think you have a deep vagina these might be perfect for you. Let me explain:

Once receiving my vag balls, I quickly started an experiment so to say. This past month I’ve worn my Smartballs off and on since I receiving them. I was really hoping to have some break though and be able to write that these are the best vag balls that I’ve ever worn. But, these vag balls might be too large for me.

Week one. First I got out a favorite waterbased lube and I put a few drops on the first ball. Inserted it, and then the second. The second ball was a bit harder to insert. Not because of  the shape. But once in, it felt as if it had nowhere to go. Yes, it was all the way in my vagina. Just not in the right place. It needed to go further back inside my vagina, but the first ball was stopped by my cervix. And it wasn’t moving anywhere. I pushed the second ball in a tiny bit more, and it started feeling better but still very cramped. I went ahead and wore it, and did my kegals almost twice daily that week. Removing only for sex and sleep. And I asked my guy if he felt any difference during intercourse after the first week. But he said no. And honestly I hadn’t experienced any difference in my orgasms either.

Week two. I did pretty much the same thing but instead I wore them all seven days taking them out at night, and before sex of course. That week I felt that my orgasm might have lasted longer. But still no feedback from the guy. He said I was flexing a bit more. [Don't know what that's about. I didn't feel like I was.] He might have been bluffing?

Week three. Same thing. No changes but by this point I’m feeling that these balls are not my size. It’s getting to be a pain in the ass to insert the second one and then find that one comfortable position.

Over a month goes by, I’m finally ready to get into contact with Ms. Shanna and tell her my dilemma, and she e-mails me to see how things are going. I tell her what has been happening, and she is totally helpful and lets me know that she has heard of this before, and that they might be to large for my vagina. She also said that I should look into the Fun Factory Smartballs Teneo Uno. [Which, I'm definitely planning on doing. I trust Shanna's recommendations.]

Awhile back, I purchased a set of glass ben wa balls, and while using them I experienced much more movement. They’re also smaller around. The FF Smartballs Teneo Duo are silicone on the exterior with weighted balls inside, which offers very muted movement. So don’t expect to feel them all of the time. But you will feel them if you jump or sway your hips. I do think these vag balls are beautiful to look at. And they’re also totally body friendly being made of silicone. And a velvety, matte finish silicone at that. They’ll last you a lifetime with proper care.
With everything in mind, I feel comfortable giving these vag balls a four star rating. I just don’t feel comfortable giving them a five. If they worked well with my vagina’s shape, then yeah, I might be tempted. I do feel that many will love these and they’re definitely a quality product, so they deserve four stars.

Heads up. Fascinations has discreet shipping and fab customer service if you’re looking to buy a set of these vag balls, a sex toy, or condoms and lube.

These do look kind of long to wear around all day. Thank goodness they come in black, though.

  2. LucyLemonade says:

I had the smartballs original myself and found they were too long to wear, the ends irritated the vaginal opening so I ended up getting rid of them. I like the Nectar crystal eggs though.

  3. Elodie: Agreed, black is much better!

Lucy: Thank you for the info! I’ll look into the Nectar crystal eggs. =)

I had more of a problem than you did — I had trouble with the size of one ball, and there was no way I was going to try to insert two. I’ve read reviews by women who had plenty of room for both balls to insert and roll around, and they enjoyed them immensely. But I told Fun Factory to consider producing “junior” balls!
