Seriously y’all… anything named Sugar attracts my attention. First off I work with sugar in my profession, I’m a total sugaraholic at times, and honestly I love products with adorable names. They make me happy, and it’s terribly adorable to have a dildo named Sugar. Therefore this G-spot dildo is literally, right up my alley.

The cutesy pink Soju Sugar was sent to me for review from the fabulous folks at Kama Sutra Closet. Kama Sutra Closet is a boutique located here in lovely California in the city of Ventura.  Kama Sutra Closet only carries healthful, earth friendly products, so you can be assured that all of your purchases from KSC will be entirely body friendly. They also do not carry products that contain phthalates, and they take pride in the line of merchandise that they carry. [Their merch totally rocks! Have a look-see.]

If you didn’t notice, though it’s kind of obvs, I think the Sugar looks very similar to the Lelo Ella in some product pics. Though in person… it’s much larger. The g-spot end especially and also in it’s circumference. Sugar has a modern looking circular embossed design, on either side of the silicone shaft, and when in use you feel the circular motif very slightly. But, it’s not painful in the least. The silicone itself is velvety and very pliable, though in the product picture it looks glossy. I’d say it’s more of a matte finish silicone but when lubed it takes on a nice sheen.

The Soju Sugar also includes a clear/frosted acrylic base for storage. Which is perfect for when you want to set your toy down but don’t want to set it directly on anything, incase you should want to use it again before you’re finished with your self love session. I usually set it up on my nightstand or on one of my breakfast in bed trays so that it’s close by. I use my breakfast in bed trays for everything, especially for a clean place to set up my toys and lubes of which I plan on using at that point in time. [I almost never use the trays for their intended use. Except maybe Valentines Day.. but that's another story entirely.]

Now on to the nitty-gritty… Performance. I was rather pleased at the girth on this dildo. It’s almost perfect for me. Not too large but large enough to be known. Thrusting the shaft end is fabulous and the circle motif is felt in a minimal way. The circles add a little something, but I wouldn’t call this dildo ribbed. Now, the G-spot end, left me a bit perturbed. It catches and not in a good way. Unlike the Ella, the Soju Sugar has much more pronounced edges to the G-spot end and these edges make entry and exit less pleasurable, and kind of awkward. Forget about thrusting this end in anyway. I use it for a pressured G-spot massage. I’ve been unable to squirt using this dildo, but gushing is another story. I literally gushed my heart out a week ago, thanks to the Sugar’s G-spot end. But like I said before, removal of the toy was awkward and it’s edges catch as it’s being removed from my vag.

Even though removal of the Soju Sugar was slightly awkward, I still love the damn thing. It’s one of the handful of dildos that I own, of which I truly enjoy looking at. The base that’s included makes it a fabulous display piece for those who wish to display their toys [and I do have my Sugar displayed in my toy cabinet]. If you do not wish to display your Sugar, I recommend keeping it clean and covered in a toy pouch. That way it doesn’t touch another toy, and it’s ready for your next play date. Wherever you shall choose to keep your toy, just remember that with proper care and storage of silicone, your toy will possibly last you a lifetime. Making it a fabulous investment, if you ask me! With everything in mind, I feel that a four and a half star rating is deserved. Had the edges not caught on my vaginal wall as I was trying to remove the toy I’d likely give this dildo a five star rating. Being that the design is not absolutely perfect for my vagina, I feel a half mark is due.

Look for the Soju Sugar Dil in five different colors, frost, orange, pink [which is what I have], teal, and violet. All available at Kama Sutra Closet, and with the discount code -  FemeD15 - you’ll receive 15% off your entire order. The teal and the orange Sugar Dils, both are entirely beautiful colors. [I want!] Go check out what Kama Sutra Closet has to offer, honestly they’ve a fabulous line of merch, and all orders in the U.S. ship free with a $75 purchase.

You’ve confirmed something I suspected about G-spot vibes with a knobby end like this: they can’t be very comfortable going in or out! I’d be reluctant to buy one for a lover for that reason.

    • They’re awkward going in and out, but they do work very well for G-spot stimulation. I recommend the Lelo Ella if you’re worried about that. It’s edges are much more rounded and much less awkward upon exit. [Though it's also smaller in size.]

Okay. Call me stupid, but I own this dildo, and never realized the flared end was to be used for g-spot play.

I’ve always just used the shaft, and thought the other end just made a nice handle.

OMG! I’m such a loser! Thanks for cluing me in!

I just got Ella, and then I saw this one and I want it too!
