Recently I received a bottle of  Yes Water-Based Organic Lubricant for review, from the folks at Sexcuse Moi. Before receiving this product for review, I was only vaguely familiar with Yes, so I forgive you if you aren’t. But please, let me introduce you.

Yes Water-Based comes packaged in a pretty sea foam bottle with a silver no spill, flip top. So if by chance you should knock over your lube while playing, it won’t spill everywhere. You have to actually squeeze the bottle for the lubricant to dispense. The outer cardboard packaging of Yes Lubes is also in the same sea foam color, adorned with white, grey, and minimal magenta printing.1 I received the 75ml bottle, but it’s also available in a few other sizes.

Yes personal products are certified organic which means that they contain at least 95% organically grown ingredients.2 Yes lube is hypoallergenic, ph friendly, and completely free of glycerin, parabens, hormones, silicones and petroleum products.3 I’ll tell you now, if you have sensitive skin this lubricant would be a lovely choice for you, and I do recommend it, but one thing I must note, is that this lubricant does contain aloe. If you have aloe sensitivities, you’ll need to steer clear.

Yes Water-Based Organic Lubricant contains: Aqua (water), Aloe barbadensis (Organic Aloe vera), Cyamopsis tetragonolobus (Organic Guar Gum), Ceratonia siliqua (Organic Locust Bean Gum), Linum usitatissimum (Organic Flax extract), Phenoxyethanol, Potassium sorbate, Xanthan Gum, Citric acid.

The folks at Yes advertise that Yes Water-Based is “Releasingly free of any smell, taste, colour or residue to distract your senses.” But, in all honesty that’s not the case. Hey Yes. Just a heads up. It does smell like aloe. And, it has a very slight aloe taste as well.4 I personally love aloe, so that’s not a big issue for me.

Lately I’ve reviewed various fabulous lubricants, and I’m very pleased to report that Yes lube preforms among the best. A small amount of Yes Water-Based gives a velvety smooth lubrication, that’s compatible with latex condoms, and your sex toys.5 Yes lube is said to “replenish” the vagina’s natural lubrication, and that it does. In every instance that I’ve used Yes, either with my partner, or with a sex toy, I did not need to reapply. The medium-thin viscosity of this lube is lovely for partnered sex as well as masturbation. And there isn’t a greasy or sticky residue left afterward. Just your smooth hydrated skin.

All in all, I found Yes Water-Based Organic Lubricant to be a lovely, well performing, all organic lubricant.
