A few weeks back the kind folks at Cal Exotics sent me one of their little vibes from the Lil’ Teaser line. There are three vibes in that line and the one I received is aptly named Dotty.
Dotty is cute, her shape resembles that of a finger. Luckily I’ve never encountered a finger with two giant bumps on it like Dotty’s. She’s purple, 3.25 inches long and 1 inch in diameter, light weight at 1.3 oz, and made of soft matte finish silicone with an ABS finger handle. [The silicone passes the flame test.] One of Dotty’s best features, is that she’s waterproof. She functioned under water without a leak. But I can’t say well. Under water her vibrations were softer, than out.

Now quite honestly there’s a few things that I didn’t love about Dotty. First… Dotty is a one speed girl. Go. And that’s it. To turn her on, just insert the provided 1.5volt N battery [odd size] and make sure you tighten the cap. Tight. She should start buzzing away. Mine does. Second to turn her off, simply unscrew the cap. [Don't do that while under water.] No buttons. Just screw on and off. [Not my preference.]

Moving on to performance. Dotty shan’t be my new favorite. She is advertised to have intense power on the Cal exotics website and extreme power on the vibrators simple plastic packaging, yet she’s meek. Dotty’s made of a soft silicone, which is a total bonus in my book, and I wanted to like her. But it’s not in my cards.

So, yeah… I didn’t use Dotty for G-spot play. Looking at her, I know she wouldn’t work for my G-spot. [I prefer a toy of more substance for that feat.] I did try her for clitoral play though. But.. Dotty didn’t tickle my fancy. Nor my clit.

The first encounter with Dotty nearly vibrated me to frustration. She just wasn’t getting me off. At all. Her little nubs weren’t helping either. They made it hard to keep Dotty on my clit. She kept sliding to the left or the right, and not staying where I needed her. And because her vibes are week, she needed to be right on my clit to work.

I stopped and waited a while. I was peeved.

Then I tried again. And I still wasn’t feeling her soft vibes. Dotty is a total Lil’ Teaser.

After a long while playing with Dotty, I finally forced an orgasm. With plenty of heavy breathing.. and focus.. and all that jazz. Then guess what happened?

I got a slight headache. No joke. Not on purpose.. just from concentrating too hard on an orgasm. Right above my left eye. I was totally pissed off at that point. Can you believe that? My forced-orgasm gave me a headache. [That has to be unlucky. Like walking under a ladder, or black cats. Or something?]

And so I’m torn.

I’m thinking if I were a person who enjoyed soft vibes, I’d like Dotty. A lot. And, I’m very pleased to see affordable silicone toys. [That's a bonus. Silicone toys are awesome.]
Being that this toy is body safe, and with all of the other factors in mind, I feel that three stars is a fair representation of my feelings toward Dotty. She just doesn’t live up to the advertisement of intense and extreme power. And that’s what this little lady is looking for.
So there you have it. If you’re looking for “extreme” or “intense” power this may not be the right vibe for you. Honestly. But.. If you’re interested in purchasing a soft silicone body friendly vibe with soft vibrations, Cal Exotics has you covered with Dotty. The Lil’ Teaser.

I normally like relatively soft vibrations, but there’s no way 1 N battery would get even me off. I’m surprised they put “intense power” on the packaging. It’s a nice shape though.
