In my box of goodies that I recently received from System Jo, came a bottle of their Sweet Pomegranate water based lube. I’m a big fan of flavored lubes, mainly because I’m a foodie by trade, and also because I hate it when I go down on my guy and get a whole mouth full of rank tasting lube. GROSS. Easy fix though, use a tasty flavored lube.
I have a few lubes that, just the smell makes me want to gag. Those lubes are in the “jack off bin”. [A bin of lubes that don't pass the test. Mainly there for my guy to use up and jack off with.] Not the case with Sweet Pomegranate System Jo! This lube is sweet and fruity tasting, without being overwhelming. It’s light, it smells lovely, and when in use I’m intrigued by the flavor and not turned off. Now to say that it tastes exactly like the actual pomegranate fruit, would be telling a tall tale. But. It does taste fruity and very yummy, and I’d recommend this lube to friends who are looking for a water based flavored lubricant.
The bottle is a clear cylinder, which makes it easy to see how much of the 5.25 oz of product is left in the bottle. The label is clean and professional looking. I also have to note that the pop top lid is easily manipulated with one hand. Just push the red button and the lid flips up. Which comes handy during the heat of the moment.
Ingredients: propyl paraben, methyl paraben, sodium carboxy methyl cellulose, glycerin, purified water, & pomegranate flavor.
Some people are staying away from lubes that contain glycerin, so consider yourself informed and warned. I personally did not use this lube vaginally. Mainly because I have a slightly sensitive vag and I don’t want to risk getting a candida infection. Glycerin lubes have been known to cause this.
I did use this lube to aid with blow jobs, hand jobs, and for clitoral play. It passes all tests there. Very well, mind you. Oral was entirely delightful, it doesn’t leave a nasty aftertaste, and it’s fruity flavor is highly appealing. Clitoral play was fabulous as well. It let my toys slip and slide over my sensitive bits with out resistance, and without getting gloppy. It’s water based formula also makes it a perfect lube to use with silicone toys and it’s latex safe.
If I were able to test this lube vaginally, without worry, I’d give this lube the Femenina Deliciosa Hot Product rating. Being that I, amongst others won’t be using glycerin vaginally, I feel this product can only be recommended with reservation. For blow jobs, hand jobs, and clitoral play, Sweet Pomegranate is the bee’s knees, and it preformed quite favorably.

I have System JO tangerine and I find it more appealing than most super sugary flavored lubes. But yeah, glycerin, NOT GOING NEAR MY VAG.
Ugh, glycerin. Luckily we were able to find a glycerin-free lube K likes the taste of, but glycerin-free, sugar-free tasty lubes are way too rare.
